Job Purpose
The Pest Prevention Technician is to provide complete pest control services (including proofing) to Asda to control all pest species covered under our contract and, by thorough inspection, identify any environmental conditions conducive to any pest activity whether covered by the contract or not.
This requires visiting stores, supermarkets, depotsand living sites at the agreed intervals governed by the Specification Service Delivery and carrying out a detailed inspection in a safe and professional manner with due regard to Health and Safety and Hygiene rules.
Key Accountabilities
* Prevent and/or control pest infestation at allocated ASDA Stores and Distribution centres.
* Carry out scheduled Number of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits for pest control.
* Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the ASDA Helpdesk.
* Complete reports and communicate on a daily basis with store colleagues and line manager.
* Build good working relationships with ASDA and CITY work Colleagues.
* Take “ownership” of other pest related issues, i.e. cleaning/proofing, to resolve ongoing problems.
* Carry out any on site training with ASDA/CITY colleagues.
* Use pesticides in a safe and responsible manner as specified under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
* To maintain accurate Time Sheets and Mileage Logs as required.
