This is a hands-on dual role, so we are looking for someone who is happy to combine HGV driving with physical labouring duties. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting scaffolding equipment from sites, loading and unloading materials, and assisting the scaffolding team on site.
Previous scaffolding or scaffolding labouring experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities

Drive HGV vehicles to deliver and collect scaffolding materials from sites
*
Safely load, secure and unload scaffold tubes, boards, fittings and equipment
*
Assist scaffolders with general labouring duties
*
Move and organise scaffolding materials around sites
*
Support with the erection and dismantling of scaffolding where appropriately trained
*
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
*
Ensure loads are correctly secured before travelling
*
Complete relevant driving and delivery paperwork
*
Keep vehicles, equipment and working areas clean and organised
*
Follow all site and company health & safety procedures
*
Work closely with scaffolders and site teams to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
Requirements
Essential:
*
Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence or above
*
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
*
Previous experience working within scaffolding, construction or a similar labour-intensive environment
*
Comfortable carrying out manual handling and physical labour
*
Good understanding of site health & safety
*
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
*
Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Highly Desirable:
*
Previous scaffolding labourer experience
*
CISRS / COTS / CSCS card
*
Experience driving scaffold trucks or flatbed HGVs
*
Experience loading, securing and transporting scaffolding equipment
*
HIAB experience/qualification

We are looking for someone who is not just a driver. The successful candidate will be willing to get involved on site, help unload the vehicle and support the scaffolding team throughout the working day.
You will need to be physically fit, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
