How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Our vision is to create a future where learning disabled people can live the best life possible. We will do this by coming together to campaign for positive change, provide personalised support and create solutions for living independently.

    Job Purpose

At Coed y Ddraig, we’re creating opportunities for people to learn, develop skills, build confidence and play an active role in their local community.

We’re looking for a Café Co-ordinator to join our team in Mold and help bring our community café to life.

This is a varied role that combines hospitality, horticulture, vocational learning and person-centred support. You’ll help people with learning disabilities and/or autism develop practical skills and confidence in a real working environment, while also playing a hands-on role in running our café.

    Responsible for

    Key Accountabilities

    * Run the café day-to-day, providing a welcoming, inclusive and high-quality experience for customers.

    * Prepare and serve drinks, light meals and refreshments, including barista-style beverages, and manage tills, stock and café displays.

    * Support opening and closing procedures and maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, allergen management and health & safety.

    * Support people to develop catering, hospitality, customer service and transferable workplace skills through meaningful, hands-on experience.

    * Create learning and development opportunities that build confidence, independence and practical skills, based on individual goals and aspirations.

    * Support the field-to-fork approach by helping people harvest and prepare produce grown on site and take part in sustainable horticultural activities.

    * Work with supported employment teams, families and community partners to create pathways into volunteering, training and paid employment.

    * Build positive relationships with customers and the wider community, support events and enterprise activities, and ensure any risks, incidents or safeguarding concerns are appropriately reported.

    People

    * To support and empower people to achieve their goals and ambitions in line with their Vocational Profiles.

    * Work closely with colleagues including the Employability Coach to offer outcome based support.

    Other

    * Adhere to and maintain Hft’s Health and Safety policies, standards and guidelines at all times

    * Carry out a range of duties and undertake any other duties as specified from time to time in accordance with Hft business requirements

    * It is the nature of the work that task responsibilities are in many circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises in order that tasks which are not specifically covered in their job description are covered

    Professional & Technical Expertise

    * Basic food hygiene qualification and equivalent vocational qualification

Location: Coed y Ddraig, Mold, Flintshire

Hours: 30 hours per week, part-time

Working pattern: Initially Tuesday–Friday, 9am–3.30pm, with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends in line with service needs
