Teach Now is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Hertfordshire.
The successful candidate will help pupils access learning, manage transitions and develop confidence, communication and independence within the school environment.
This is a rewarding role for someone who understands that progress can look different for every child and knows how important consistency and positive relationships can be.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and small-group support for pupils with ASD.
Adapt classroom activities to suit individual learning needs.
Support communication, emotional regulation and social interaction.
Follow individual support plans and established strategies.
Work closely with teachers and SEN professionals.
Help pupils participate successfully in classroom routines.
We are looking for
Previous experience supporting children with autism or SEND.
School-based SEN experience is strongly preferred.
Relevant TA/SEN qualifications are advantageous.
A patient, consistent and calm approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Candidates with strong ASD experience and relevant qualifications are particularly encouraged to apply.
