About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established social housing contractor, working across properties throughout East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent work, competitive rates and the use of a company van and fuel card.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
Completing a range of multi-trade works to a high standard
General carpentry and joinery repairs
Basic plumbing repairs
Tiling, patching and making good
Plastering and decorating
Repairing doors, locks, fixtures and fittings
Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Providing a professional service to residents and clients
Completing jobs using a PDA/mobile system and updating records where required

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative, ideally within social housing or property maintenance
Strong practical skills across multiple trades
Good knowledge of responsive repairs and maintenance
Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
Good communication and customer service skills
Full UK driving licence
Own basic hand tools
Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
