How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Senior Print Production Operative - MUST HAVE LARGE PRINT FORMAT EXPERIENCE

    OA are recruiting for a Senior Print Production Operative to join our client’s creative and wide-format print studio in London.

    The Senior Print Production Operative is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring jobs are executed efficiently, on schedule, as specified, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires someone with a hands-on approach and involves managing production staff, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining the operational effectiveness of the production workflow.

    Location: Park Royal

    Hours: Monday-Friday. 8:30am-5:30pm.

    Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 depending on experience - with review after 6 months

    Senior Print Production Operative Key Responsibilities

    Operate and set up large-format digital printing and finishing equipment, ensuring jobs are produced to the required specification.
    Manage print production from artwork through to finished product, ensuring quality, accuracy and deadlines are maintained.
    Prepare and check artwork, dimensions, substrates and production specifications before printing.
    Produce a wide range of large-format graphics, including backdrops, wall graphics, floor graphics, signage, exhibition displays and vehicle graphics.
    Carry out a variety of finishing processes, including trimming, cutting, laminating, mounting, hemming and eyeleting.
    Use finishing and fabrication equipment, including CNC, laser cutters, hotwire and oscillating knife machinery, where required.
    Conduct detailed quality control checks, ensuring colour, sizing, print quality and finishing meet client specifications.
    Troubleshoot print and production issues, making adjustments to machinery and escalating technical faults where necessary.
    Work to tight and sometimes last-minute production deadlines, particularly for film, TV, events and exhibition projects.
    Plan and prioritise multiple jobs to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
    Minimise material wastage while maintaining quality and production efficiency.
    Liaise closely with the Production Manager, Creative Account Managers and wider production team to ensure jobs run smoothly.
    Support the installation and preparation of finished graphics where required.
    Maintain a clean, organised and safe production environment, following all health & safety procedures.
    Provide technical support and guidance to junior members of the production team and help maintain high production standards.

    Senior Print Production Operative Skills and Experience

    Previous experience in large-format print production, print finishing or a similar creative production environment.
    Strong knowledge of large-format digital printing and associated production processes.
    Experience setting up and operating print and finishing machinery.
    Knowledge of finishing techniques including cutting, trimming, laminating, mounting, hemming and eyeleting.
    Experience working with a range of print substrates and materials.
    Ideally experienced with CNC, laser cutting, hotwire or oscillating knife equipment.
    Strong understanding of print quality, colour accuracy, sizing and production specifications.
    Ability to read and interpret artwork, drawings and technical specifications.
    Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working on bespoke or high-profile projects.
    Able to work efficiently under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve production issues.
    Comfortable working across multiple projects and managing workload effectively.
    Good understanding of health & safety procedures within a production/workshop environment.
    Able to work independently while also supporting and guiding junior production staff.
    A hands-on, proactive approach with a willingness to get involved across different areas of production.
    Previous experience within film & TV, events, exhibitions, retail graphics, signage or creative production would be highly advantageous.
