Junior Health & Safety Consultant
Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire (with national travel to client sites)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
Travel: throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays

As part of a close-knit and supportive team, you'll work alongside experienced consultants who are passionate about developing the next generation of health and safety professionals.
You’ll receive hands-on support, mentoring, coaching, and practical exposure to consultancy work, gradually building your confidence and expertise.
What you'll be doing
No two weeks look the same, but you'll be involved in:
Supporting health and safety consultants with client projects across a range of industries
Shadowing client visits and learning how to provide practical health and safety advice
Assisting with risk assessments, safe systems of work, and health and safety documentation
Supporting the development and delivery of training workshops
Helping clients improve their health and safety management systems
Assisting with monitoring, assurance and compliance activities
Supporting clients through accreditation and certification processes
Building relationships with clients and learning how consultancy services are delivered
Developing your technical knowledge and consultancy skills through structured training and mentoring
What we're looking for
We're far more interested in the person than a long list of qualifications. This role has been created for someone ready to take the next step in their career.
You'll ideally have:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 Health & Safety qualification
Experience where health and safety forms part of your current role OR experience in a Health & Safety Coordinator, Administrator, Assistant, Compliance or similar position
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Good organisation and attention to detail
A full UK valid driving licence and vehicle
Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally stay away overnight
Most importantly, you'll be:
