How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Controls & Commissioning Engineer will work closely with E&IC Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and Supplier teams to support:

    PLC and HMI software testing and troubleshooting Siemens PCS7 / TIA Portal / WinCC and/or Rockwell Studio 5000 FAT, Pre-FAT and iFAT execution Commissioning and operational support Cause & Effect verification Functional testing and issue resolution Controlled software updates and configuration management Supplier and customer technical support

    The role is intended to provide practical engineering support during design verification, FAT readiness, commissioning and software issue closure activities.

    Essential Skills and Experience

    Instrumentation & Control

    PLC/HMI software testing and verification Instrumentation and Control systems in both safe area and ATEX environments I/O verification and control system testing Instrument troubleshooting and commissioning PLC & HMI Systems Siemens TIA Portal Siemens WinCC Siemens PCS7 (desirable) Rockwell Studio 5000 (desirable) FactoryTalk (desirable) PLC programming and troubleshooting HMI development and modification Engineering Documentation

    Experience producing and reviewing:

    We are seeking a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical problems and actively supports delivery activities.

    The successful candidate should ideally have:

    5-10 years of controls engineering experience Strong Siemens PLC experience FAT and commissioning experience Industrial, marine, oil & gas or packaged equipment background Ability to work independently and travel when required Strong communication skills with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders

    The position is not intended to be primarily project management focused. The successful candidate should be comfortable performing detailed engineering, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning activities directly
