How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A hands-on Procurement Manager opportunity for someone who has already led people, improved supplier performance and built stronger procurement process in a manufacturing environment.

    Procurement Manager

    Lincolnshire
    £60,000 - £65,000 + benefits
Initially site-based to settle, then hybrid working 3/2

    The Opportunity

We're supporting a growing specialist manufacturer that is looking to strengthen its procurement function with the appointment of an experienced Procurement Manager.

This is not a role for someone who only wants to manage suppliers from a distance. The business needs a practical, commercially strong procurement leader who can lead a small team, improve supplier performance, bring more structure into sourcing and negotiation, and support the business as it continues to grow.

The role would suit someone who has already managed people within procurement, purchasing, materials or supply chain, and who is comfortable working closely with Production, Supply Chain, Technical, Quality, NPD, Finance and senior stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

You'll take ownership of a broad procurement remit across direct materials, packaging, services and indirect spend, with a focus on improving how procurement operates day to day and commercially.

    Key areas will include:

Leading, supporting and developing a small procurement team.
Improving supplier performance around quality, service, OTIF, lead times and risk.
Strengthening sourcing, tendering, negotiation, contracting and supplier review processes.
Delivering cost savings, cost avoidance and total cost of ownership improvements.
Building better data, reporting and market insight to support commercial decision-making.
Working cross-functionally to ensure procurement supports production, customer demand and wider business growth.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with proven procurement, purchasing or supply chain experience from a manufacturing environment.

You'll need to be comfortable leading people, managing supplier relationships, challenging existing ways of working and putting better process around a function that still has room to mature.

Relevant backgrounds could include food, FMCG, ingredients, packaging, pharma, nutraceuticals, chemicals, health products or another complex manufacturing environment.

    You'll likely bring:

Experience managing or developing a procurement/purchasing team.
Strong supplier negotiation and supplier relationship management experience.
Evidence of improving supplier performance, cost, risk or service.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel/data capability.
A practical, resilient and hands-on approach.
The confidence to bring structure without needing everything to be perfect from day one.

    Why Join?

This is a genuine opportunity to make a visible impact.

The business has grown organically and now needs procurement to become more structured, proactive and commercially focused. For the right person, there is real scope to improve supplier performance, develop the team, reduce cost and risk, and help shape how procurement supports the next phase of growth.

You'll be joining a business with strong customer demand, ambitious plans and a leadership team that recognises procurement has a key role to play in future performance.
