How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Job Title: Supply Chain & Production Planning Manager
    Location: Brighouse, West Yorkshire
    Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 DOE

We are recruiting for a Supply Chain & Production Planning Manager to join a growing manufacturing business based in Brighouse. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a significant purchasing spend, international supply chain and production planning within a business investing heavily in its manufacturing operation.

The role will be predominantly procurement focused, managing UK and international suppliers, negotiating raw material pricing and ensuring materials arrive in line with production requirements. You will also support production planning, balancing material availability, machine capacity and labour requirements.

    The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will take responsibility for procurement and supply chain activity whilst working closely with Production, Operations and Warehouse teams.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Managing approximately £15m of annual purchasing spend across raw materials and indirect requirements.

    * Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with UK and international suppliers.

    * Managing overseas suppliers, imports, documentation, tariffs and international lead times.

    * Monitoring commodity markets to support purchasing and negotiation decisions.

    * Placing high-value purchase orders and monitoring deliveries through to site.

    * Managing supplier performance and resolving supply, quality and delivery issues.

    * Maintaining appropriate raw material and finished goods inventory levels.

    * Forecasting future material requirements based on production demand and lead times.

    * Supporting production planning across machine capacity, labour availability and customer priorities.

    * Responding to shortages, breakdowns and changing requirements through effective re-planning.

    * Maintaining accurate ERP/MRP data, stock parameters, BOMs and planning information.

    * Coordinating inbound logistics and subcontracted manufacturing processes.

    * Identifying opportunities to improve procurement, inventory and supply chain processes.

    * Supporting the development of new AI-enabled production planning tools.

    * Potentially taking responsibility for the Warehouse/Stores function depending on experience.

    What We're Looking For

    * Strong procurement, purchasing or supply chain experience within manufacturing.

    * Experience managing a significant purchasing spend.

    * International sourcing and importing experience.

    * Knowledge of import documentation, international lead times and tariffs.

    * Strong supplier negotiation and commercial management experience.

    * Experience purchasing raw materials, metals or commodity-based products would be advantageous.

    * Some practical production or materials planning experience.

    * Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

    * Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    * Warehouse, stores or team management experience would be beneficial.

    The Individual

You will be an experienced procurement or supply chain professional who combines strong commercial purchasing skills with an understanding of manufacturing operations. You will be comfortable managing international suppliers, negotiating high-value purchases and ensuring materials arrive against demanding production requirements.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to challenge existing processes, influence how the supply chain operates and contribute to future automation and AI-led planning projects. There is also longer-term scope to broaden your responsibilities across operations.

Benefits include: 34 days' holiday including bank holidays, early finish on Fridays, flexible working hours, potential hybrid working following probation, free EV charging, cycle-to-work scheme, employee discounts and one paid volunteering day per year
