How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

    Location: Stapleford, Nottinghamshire
    Pay: £13.00 – £15.00 per hour
    Shifts: Days & Nights Available
    Start: ASAP

    We are looking for an experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join a residential service supporting children and young people in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in children’s residential care who understands the importance of consistency, structure, positive boundaries and creating a safe and nurturing environment for young people.

    The Role

    As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to young people while helping maintain high standards across the home.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Supporting children and young people with daily routines and activities

    * Building positive, consistent and professional relationships

    * Promoting independence, confidence and essential life skills

    * Supporting education, appointments, activities and wellbeing

    * Driving young people to education, appointments and activities when required

    * Acting as a positive role model

    * Supporting and guiding colleagues during shifts

    * Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally

    * Maintaining accurate records, reports and handovers

    * Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures

    * Helping maintain a safe, structured and nurturing home environment

    Essential Requirements

    * Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People or equivalent

    * Previous experience within a children’s residential setting

    * Full UK driving licence and ability to drive

    * Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

    * Experience supporting vulnerable children and young people

    * Confidence managing challenging behaviour

    * Good communication and record keeping skills

    * Flexibility to work day and night shifts
