How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CNC Programmer

    Location: Near Ascot, Berkshire (Commutable from Bracknell, Reading, Slough, Maidenhead, Woking, High Wycombe and others)
    Salary: £20.00ph – £24.00ph basic + 1.3x shift uplift (£54,000 – £65,000 inc. shift)
    Hours: 5:00pm – 4:00am, Monday – Thursday
    Job Type: Permanent

    Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision engineering manufacturer based near Ascot.

    The role will involve programming, setting and operating Mazak Integrex and Quick Turn CNC machines, producing complex, high-precision components for the aerospace and defence sectors.

    CNC Programmer Duties

    * Programme, set and operate Mazak Integrex i450H and QT200MSY machines

    * Produce complex Mill-Turn and multi-axis components

    * Work with 5-axis and sub-spindle machining

    * Programme using CAM software, with NX CAM experience preferred

    * Read and work from detailed engineering drawings

    * Select tooling, speeds and feeds

    * Carry out programme adjustments and tooling offsets

    * Complete first-off and in-process quality checks

    * Troubleshoot and optimise machining processes

    CNC Programmer Profile

    * Strong CNC programming and Mill-Turn experience

    * Experience programming, setting and operating CNC machinery

    * Mazak experience highly desirable

    * Experience with Integrex and/or Quick Turn machines preferred

    * Multi-axis and sub-spindle machining experience

    * Offline/CAM programming experience

    * NX CAM experience advantageous

    * Confident working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances

    * Aerospace, defence or precision engineering experience beneficial
