How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Client Relationship Executive

    Location: Lancaster (Hybrid)

    Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum

    Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

    Working Pattern: 35 hours per week | Monday to Thursday office-based, with home working on Fridays. Flexible working options considered.

    The Role

    As a Commercial Executive, you'll manage and develop customer relationships while identifying opportunities to retain, grow and maximise business across the organisation's portfolio.

    Working closely with Commercial Managers and internal teams, you'll play an important role in supporting commercial growth and delivering an excellent experience for customers.

    Key responsibilities include:

    *

    Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and supporting retention and revenue growth.

    *

    Building strong relationships with education providers, training organisations and employers.

    *

    Identifying upselling, cross-selling and new business opportunities.

    *

    Maintaining an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records.

    *

    Managing customer enquiries and ensuring a high standard of service.

    *

    Promoting qualifications, assessment services, apprenticeship solutions and digital learning products.

    *

    Monitoring account activity and identifying opportunities for further growth.

    *

    Working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

    *

    Supporting commercial forecasting and wider sales activity.

    *

    Attending customer meetings, networking opportunities and relevant sector events.

    *

    Working towards agreed commercial, KPI and service targets.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused commercial professional who enjoys building relationships and identifying opportunities.

    You will ideally have:

    *

    Experience in Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Business Development or Commercial Support.

    *

    Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

    *

    A consultative and customer-focused approach to sales.

    *

    Experience managing CRM systems and customer information.

    *

    Confidence identifying opportunities to grow and develop customer accounts.

    *

    Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    *

    A proactive, commercially aware and target-driven mindset.

    *

    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.

    *

    An interest or experience within Education, Qualifications, Apprenticeships, Further Education or EdTech would be advantageous.
