How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As a Financial Modeller in the insurance sector, you'll play a key role in building and refining financial models from scratch to support a project within the business. Based in London, this temporary role will involve working closely with stakeholders to ensure models are accurate, efficient and tailored to business needs.

    An organisation within the insurance industry, based in London (limited office requirement but candidate must be able to commute to London)

    Description

    Design and build a scalable Excel-based sub-consolidation framework.
    Develop models capable of processing 200+ trial balances across multiple business units and reporting views.
    Create reporting outputs covering Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
    Implement a structured adjustment layer for consolidation journals, eliminations and reclassifications.
    Build controls and reconciliation processes to ensure outputs align with the main group consolidation.
    Support the creation of multiple reporting scenarios and future expansion of the model architecture.
    Produce clear documentation and model user guides.
    Work closely with finance stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are fully met.
    Deliver knowledge transfer and training to internal teams at the conclusion of the assignment.Profile

    Advanced Excel modelling expertise.
    Proven experience developing complex financial models within large, international organisations.
    Strong group consolidation experience.
    Experience working with significant volumes of trial balance data.
    Excellent understanding of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting.
    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Job Offer

    Daily rate of £540 to £650 umbrella, dependent on the level of experience.
    Temporary contract based in London.
