How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Team Leader Adults

    Are you ready to take the next step into leadership within adult social care? We're looking for a Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to our staff team, helping deliver high-quality, person-centred care to the people we support.

    About the Role of Team Leader, Adults

    As Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, leading shifts, supporting and mentoring Residential Support Workers, and helping ensure individuals receive consistent, safe and dignified care. You'll act as a positive role model, supporting best practice and a calm, supportive environment.

    This is a rewarding but responsible role that requires strong interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for the people we support.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Leading shifts effectively as the senior member of staff on duty
    Providing guidance, support and direction to Residential Support Workers
    Ensuring safe staffing practices and effective handovers between shifts
    Supporting new staff during induction and acting as a role model in practice
    Delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity and independence
    Supporting individuals with daily living, personal care, health needs and social inclusion
    Promoting a strong safeguarding culture and acting promptly on concerns
    Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and support strategies are followed consistently
    Completing accurate, timely records and contributing to care planning and reviews
    Promoting a safe, clean and welcoming living environment
    Building positive relationships with families, advocates and healthcare professionalsWhat We're Looking For

    Essential:

    Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
    Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with vulnerable adults
    Experience working in a residential or supported living environment
    Experience supporting adults with care and support needs
    Strong communication and leadership skills
    Calm, resilient and confident in decision-making
    Ability to lead shifts and support staff effectively
    Professional, reliable and flexible approach Desirable:

    Working towards or willing to undertake a Level 5 leadership qualification
    Previous Team Leader or senior support role
    Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
    Experience mentoring or supervising staff
    Knowledge of CQC fundamental standards
    Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS
    Full UK driving licenceOur Values
