How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lift Engineer

    Lift Service, Lift Repair, Lift Industry
    Central London, Walking Route
    Basic Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) to join a prestigious, well-established lift company on a dedicated walking route in Central London.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer who wants to leave the van behind and work across a compact, high-profile portfolio. No driving licence is required, as sites are accessible on foot and by public transport.
    The role combines service, maintenance, repair and call-out duties, offering route stability, varied technical work and strong earning potential through paid overtime and standby.

    Commutable from: Canary Wharf, Hackney, Camden Town, Ealing, Brixton, Tottenham, Woolwich, Hammersmith, Watford, Luton, Harrow and all London areas.

    Key Responsibilities of a Lift Service & Repair Engineer:

    Carry out routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and repairs along a dedicated local route.
    Respond efficiently to breakdowns and call-outs, minimising disruption and equipment downtime.
    Diagnose faults accurately and deliver effective first-time fixes wherever possible.
    Maintain clear service records and ensure all work meets current safety standards.
    Participate in a structured standby and call-out rota.
    Deliver exceptional service across a prestigious, client-facing portfolio.

    Requirements of a Lift Service & Repair Engineer:

    NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in lift engineering - Essential
    Proven lift service, repair and maintenance experience - Essential
    Previous experience with one of the "Big 4" lift companies - Desirable
    Strong technical knowledge across various lift manufacturers and systems.
    Experience within high-end commercial environments is preferred.
