š ļø The Role
As a DT Technician, you will play an important role in supporting the school's Design & Technology department.
Your responsibilities may include:
Preparing materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons
Supporting teachers with classroom and workshop preparation
Ensuring equipment and resources are safe and ready for use
Maintaining and organising DT workshops and storage areas
Supporting students during practical activities
Maintaining stock and monitoring resources
Carrying out basic equipment maintenance where appropriate
Helping to ensure health and safety procedures are followed
š About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working as a DT Technician or in a practical/technical environment
Has experience working with tools, machinery and DT equipment
Ideally has experience within a secondary school or education setting
Understands the importance of health and safety
Is organised, reliable and proactive
Works well alongside teachers and other school staff
Is confident supporting students in a practical learning environment
