How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HGV Class 2 Driver (Night Shifts)

    Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
    48 Hours Per Week (Average)
    5 Shifts Per Week | Night Shifts (Typically Starting Between 23:00 and 02:00)

    Are you an HGV Class 2 Driver looking for your next opportunity?     This is an ongoing temporary assignment with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate, offering an excellent route into a long-term role with a respected employer.

    The Role

    As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you'll play a key role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries safely, accurately, and on time. Working within a temperature-controlled distribution environment, you'll complete multi-drop deliveries across the region while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest operational standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Safely operate a Category C vehicle in line with driving legislation and company procedures
    Complete scheduled multi-drop deliveries accurately and efficiently
    Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
    Assist with loading and unloading products, ensuring stock is secured and handled correctly
    Use handheld devices to manage delivery information and customer records
    Build positive relationships with customers through professional and friendly service
    Adhere to Driver CPC, tachograph, health & safety, food hygiene, and company regulations
    Collect returned stock and empties where required
    Support operational requirements by providing holiday and sickness cover when needed

    What We're Looking For

    Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence
    Valid Driver CPC qualification
    Digital Tachograph Card
    Strong communication and customer service skills
    Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
    Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
    Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
