Supply Desk are currently seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead from September.
This full-time opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about providing children with the very best start to their education. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and be committed to creating a stimulating, inclusive, and engaging classroom where every child can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The role will involve planning and delivering creative, play-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity and support children's individual development. You will assess and monitor pupil progress, build positive relationships with parents and carers, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure children thrive during this important stage of their learning journey. Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons and learning activities
Track and report on children's progress and development
Liaise with parents/carers to provide regular updates on pupil progress
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to extra-curricular activities and wider school initiatives
Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes for all pupils
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A nurturing, inclusive, and child-centred approach to teaching
Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
