How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HV Electrical Trainer (Full Training Provided)

    Are you an experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineer looking to step off the tools and into training?

    As an HV Electrical Trainer, you'll deliver training, instruction, demonstrations, and assessments for delegates completing High Voltage Operator and electrical safety-related training. The role will focus on safe systems of work, HV switchgear, switching schedules, permits to work, and developing learners into confident and competent electrical professionals.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial electrical background with proven High Voltage experience. You will ideally have experience as a High Voltage Authorised Person and be confident working with HV safe systems of work and switchgear. Teaching experience is not essential, as full training will be provided, but you must be passionate about moving into education and committed to developing learners.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HV Electrical professional to transition into training, gain teaching and assessing qualifications, and make a lasting impact on the next generation of engineers.

    The role:

    *Deliver High Voltage electrical training and assessment.
    *Provide instruction, demonstrations, and learner support.
    *Train delegates on High Voltage Operator and electrical safety programmes.
    *Cover safe systems of work, switching schedules, permits to work, and HV switchgear.
    *Work with learners, clients, and colleagues to deliver positive training outcomes.
    *Monitor learner health, safety, welfare, and engagement during training.
    *Monday to Friday role.
    *Full training and structured upskilling provided.
    *Extensive travel during the first six months to shadow, learn course structure, and understand internal delivery methods.
    *Opportunity to complete teaching and assessing qualifications within the first six months.

    The person:

    *Strong High Voltage electrical background.
    *Industrial Electrical Engineering experience.
    *Experience working with HV switchgear and safe systems of work.
    *Ideally experienced as a High Voltage Authorised Person.
    *Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
    *Full UK Driving Licence.
    *Teaching or assessor qualifications desirable but not essential.
    *Passionate about supporting the next generation of electrical engineers
