How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As a key part of our Corporate Health & Safety team, you'll be more than a technical expert – you'll be a trusted partner, influencer and champion for positive change. Working across a diverse organisation, including housing, property and care and support services, you'll help influence and embed a culture where safety is valued, understood and owned by everyone

As part of the role, you’ll:

    * Coordinate audits, inspections and policy reviews

    * Support incident reporting, investigation and the implementation of learning outcomes

    * Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and internal standards

    * Provide guidance to managers on risk assessments and safe systems of work

    * Contribute to training delivery, communications and safety initiatives

    * Support the development and continuous improvement of H&S systems and processes

    Qualifications

A minimum of NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent recognised Level 3 health and safety qualification with a Technical membership of IOSH (TechIOSH)

    About you

We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice, who can communicate effectively and influence positive behaviours. You will be well organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and have experience supporting risk management, audits or compliance activities.

You will also be confident using systems and data to monitor performance and support reporting, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

This is a permanent, full-time role where you will work on a hybrid basis between home and our new office in Clifton, Nottingham. The post holder will be expected to travel across Group locations; a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are therefore required (reasonable adjustments will be considered).
