How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are currently collaborating with a main contractor that is renowned for tackling complex projects, leveraging cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices to ensure exceptional standards throughout the lifespan of each project.

    Having been established over 50 years ago, the company started in Europe and the UK arm has been operating for over 10 years, predominantly undertaking commercial and residential sector projects.

    With a turnover in the region of £50 million, they have recently launched a development team to take on properties across London.

    The Role

    Are you an experienced Design Manager looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design process across multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.

    This is a pivotal role where you will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure designs are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    * Lead and manage the design process across multiple projects from concept through to completion

    * Develop and implement design management strategies, processes, and programmes aligned with project objectives

    * Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants to ensure efficient delivery of design information

    * Work closely with the Pre-Construction team during tender submissions and bid development

    * Review and approve design documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, industry standards, and client requirements

    * Identify and manage design-related risks, implementing practical solutions to minimise programme or cost impacts

    * Collaborate with Project Managers and construction teams to ensure the design supports the overall delivery strategy

    * Chair and participate in design meetings, monitoring progress and driving timely decision-making

    * Mentor and support members of the design team, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
