A welcoming SEN school in Wokingham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will support pupils both in and outside of the classroom, helping them access education while developing their confidence, communication and independence.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced Teachers and support staff to provide personalised assistance to pupils with a range of needs, which may include ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH requirements.
The SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve:
* Providing 1:1 and small group learning support
* Helping pupils access and engage with classroom activities
* Supporting communication, social development and independence
* Encouraging positive relationships and confidence
* Adapting support to meet individual learning needs
* Working collaboratively with Teachers and wider support staff
* Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
* ASAP start in Wokingham with accessible transport links
The school is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about working with children and young people and has a genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs. Previous experience in an SEN, education, care or youth setting would be beneficial.
