How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Client Account Manager - M&E / Building Services
    London Based | Permanent | £65,000-£90,000 + Package

We're working with an established, growing Principal Contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Client Account Manager to take ownership of a major client account and framework.

This is a senior, client-facing position sitting within the business's M&E division, but BMS experience is not required. The key requirement is a strong M&E / Building Services background combined with experience managing a major client account, framework or structured service agreement.

The role is much broader than individual project delivery. You'll be responsible for ensuring the account operates effectively from a governance, operational, commercial and client-management perspective.

    The Role
You'll act as the key link between the client, operational/project teams and the wider business, taking ownership of how the account is managed and delivered. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and developing a key client relationship
Overseeing multiple projects, works packages and operational workstreams
Ensuring account processes, procedures and governance are consistently followed
Monitoring account performance, identifying risks and implementing improvements
Providing regular performance and governance reporting to senior stakeholders
Overseeing the commercial performance of works, including quotations, variations, budgets and opportunities
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimating and Commercial teams
Understanding project performance and identifying opportunities for improvement and additional works
Managing escalations and resolving client issues effectively
Ensuring delivery complies with contractual, regulatory and company requirements
Reviewing and improving processes across the framework
Attending client meetings, performance reviews and operational discussions
Maintaining strong relationships across multiple levels of the client organisation
Supporting client retention and longer-term account growth What We're Looking For
We're interested in people who have a combination of M&E / Building Services knowledge and genuine client account or framework management experience. You could currently be working as a:

    Client Account Manager
    Account Manager
    Senior Project Manager
    Contracts Manager
    M&E Project Manager
    M&E Contracts Manager
    Framework Manager
    Operations Manager
Service Delivery Manager You'll ideally have:

Strong M&E / Building Services experience
Experience managing a major client account, framework or structured contract
Strong understanding of governance, processes, compliance and reporting
Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
Commercial awareness, including variations, quotations, budgets and account performance
Experience overseeing multiple projects or workstreams
    Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
The confidence to work with senior client and internal stakeholders
A proactive approach to continuous improvement BMS experience is not required and previous experience with this specific client is not expected.
We're particularly interested in candidates who understand the bigger picture of managing an account and can look across multiple projects, teams and workstreams rather than focusing purely on the delivery of one project.

    About the Business
The business was established decades ago and has grown into an established turnkey Principal Contractor delivering projects and ongoing services across multiple sectors. The company has continued to grow through strong, long-term client relationships and by becoming an extension of its clients' businesses.

You'll be joining an established M&E division with a strong client base and the opportunity to take genuine ownership of an important account.

    What's on Offer?

    £65,000-£90,000 salary depending on experience
    Additional package
    Permanent position
Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm, with flexibility around business requirements
London based with travel to client buildings across the southern region
Private healthcare for you and your dependants
    Private dental insurance
    Life insurance
    Pension
    Length of service rewards
    Family-friendly benefits
    TradePoint discount
Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) - following 12 months' continuous employment, you'll be eligible to become a beneficiary If you have a strong M&E / Building Services background and have experience managing a major client account or framework, this could be an excellent opportunity to step into a senior role with genuine responsibility for how an account is operated, governed and developed
