How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Take the next step in your automation career with a company shaping the future of industrial technology.
Salary: £30,000 - £47,000 (depending on experience) + Annual Bonus + Excellent Pension + Private Medical + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Subsidised Restaurant + Outstanding Career Development
You've got one year's plus of engineering experience under your belt now. You know your way around a PLC, you've dealt with real faults on real systems, and you're ready for a role that builds on that rather than starting you from scratch.
    This is exactly that opportunity.
Join a global engineering and manufacturing organisation at its expanding European Technical Centre, where you'll become part of an international development team supporting cutting-edge industrial automation products used across countless industries - from manufacturing and food production to automotive, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy and electronics.
This isn't a role where you'll be doing the same tasks year after year. As the technical centre continues to grow, so will your opportunities.
    What you'll be doing
Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll become a technical expert supporting advanced electrical automation products across Europe. Your role will include:
    - Programming and configuring PLC systems
    - Supporting engineers and customers with technical queries
    - Investigating faults and troubleshooting electrical and communication issues
    - Testing and evaluating new products
    - Producing technical documentation, user guides and reports
    - Delivering technical presentations and training to European colleagues
    - Supporting new product development and continuous improvement projects
    - Occasionally travelling within Europe to support customers, attend exhibitions and collaborate with international teams
No two days are the same, making this an excellent opportunity to broaden both your technical and commercial engineering skills.
    What we're looking for
    - A Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Software or Electromechanical Engineering
    - Around 1-3 years' industry experience
    - An understanding of PLC programming using Ladder Logic or Structured Text
    - Strong problem-solving skills and an inquisitive approach
    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    - A willingness to travel occasionally within Europe
It would be an advantage if you've worked with:
    - PROFINET, EtherNet/IP or EtherCAT
    - OPC UA or IO-Link
    - Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT or Rockwell Studio 5000
    - Technical product support
    - Delivering training or presentations
    - Project work
    - European or Japanese languages
Don't worry if you don't have experience with everything listed above. If you've got the right attitude, curiosity and a solid engineering foundation, you'll receive excellent support and ongoing development.
    What's in it for you?
    - Salary of £30,000 - £47,000 depending on experience
    - Annual bonus
    - Generous company pension
    - Private medical insurance
    - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
    - Holiday trading scheme
    - Subsidised onsite restaurant
    - Sports and social club
    - Structured technical development
    - Genuine long-term career progression
    - Opportunity to work with an international engineering team developing future automation technology
    The recruitment process
If you're looking for a role where you'll continue learning, work with world-class automation technology and build a long-term engineering career, we'd love to hear from you.
