How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Corporate Partner – London

    Senior Lawyer.

Build and lead a Corporate practice within one of the UK's fastest-growing independent law firms.

    No Salary Cap.

We are working with a highly regarded, rapidly growing independent law firm that is looking to make a significant investment in the development of its Corporate offering.

The firm is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Corporate Partner to help expand and lead a standalone Corporate practice from its London office. Separating from the previous Corporate Commercial offering.

The vision is to give the right Partner the autonomy, investment and backing to build a Corporate practice around their own strengths, relationships and ambitions, with genuine support from the firm's leadership team.

And importantly, the platform is already there.

Over the past 14 years, the firm has developed an enviable client base across sport, media, entertainment, technology, financial services, fashion and other high-growth areas, acting for a fascinating mix of established brands, entrepreneurs, investors and rapidly growing companies.

There is therefore a significant opportunity for the incoming Partner to leverage the firm's existing relationships while building and shaping a Corporate offering of their own (there is already acquisition and investment work coming in, without a defined corporate partner going for it).

The firm has been through a particularly exciting period of growth, recently expanding through the acquisition of another practice, making significant investment into the business, attracting considerable attention across both the legal and mainstream media, and being shortlisted for a number of industry awards, including Mid-Sized Law Firm of the Year.

The firm's continued investment, strong financial performance and growing market profile have created an increasingly powerful platform from which to build.

For the right Corporate Partner, this means joining at a particularly interesting point in the firm's trajectory; established enough to provide a genuine platform, but entrepreneurial enough that there is still significant scope to shape what comes next.

    The Opportunity

The successful Partner will have genuine scope to:

    • Build and lead a standalone Corporate practice from London.
    • Shape the team's strategy, proposition and future growth.
    • Leverage an existing client base across sport, media, entertainment, technology, financial services and other high-growth sectors.
    • Develop Corporate opportunities across the firm's existing relationships.
    • Introduce and grow their own client base with the backing of the firm's leadership.
    • Work alongside highly regarded lawyers across complementary commercial, IP and disputes practices.
    • Play a meaningful role in the firm's wider strategic development.

    The Proposition

The firm is prepared to invest significantly in the right individual.

A highly competitive remuneration package is available, alongside significant bonus potential and, importantly, sweet equity in the business for the Partner joining at this stage.

The opportunity is therefore not simply about a strong financial package. It is about joining a business with genuine momentum, having the freedom and support to build a substantial Corporate practice, and ultimately sharing in the value created as the firm continues to grow.

For an ambitious Corporate Partner who wants to have genuine influence over the direction of their practice and would relish the opportunity to build something significant with the backing of an established and increasingly prominent firm, this is an opportunity that warrants a confidential conversation.
