How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are partnering with a top-tier global mid-market investment bank to hire a Vice President into their Technology M&A team in London. This is a high-impact opportunity to join one of the most active technology advisory franchises in the market during a period of significant European expansion.

    The Platform

    • NYSE-listed, full-service investment bank with $5B+ in annual revenue and record investment banking pipelines heading into 2026
    • Recognised as a top-5 mid-market M&A adviser globally (LSEG/Refinitiv league tables) and a market leader in technology transactions under $1B
    • 100+ dedicated technology investment banking professionals operating as a fully integrated team across USA, UK and DACH.
    • Recently completed a transformative European acquisition of a leading specialist tech & healthcare advisory firm, creating a true transatlantic advisory platform
    • 500+ transactions completed since 2020 across M&A advisory, sponsor-backed deals, ECM, and private placements
    • Currently transitioning its European operations to an advisory-centric, capital-light model — placing technology M&A at the heart of the growth strategy

    The Role

    • Lead and execute sell-side and buy-side M&A mandates for European growth-stage and established technology companies
    • Manage and mentor a team of Associates and Analysts, driving workstream quality and client delivery
    • Develop and maintain relationships with founders, management teams, private equity sponsors, and corporate acquirers across the technology ecosystem
    • Originate new mandates through proactive sector coverage and contribute to the team's business development pipeline
    • Collaborate cross-border with US-based technology bankers to deliver integrated advisory solutions for European clients accessing US capital markets and acquirers

    Technology Subsectors

    • Software & SaaS
    • Fintech & Payments
    • Internet & Digital Media
    • Electronics & Industrial Technology
    • Tech-Enabled Services
    • Media & Telecom

    Candidate Profile

    • 6–10 years of technology investment banking experience at a recognised investment bank or advisory firm
    • Strong M&A execution track record with experience across the full deal lifecycle (origination through completion)
    • Deep knowledge of one or more technology subsectors with established sector relationships
    • Demonstrable ability to lead deal teams, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver under pressure
    • Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in building and growing a franchise
    • Entrepreneurial attitude — this is a platform where high performers have direct access to senior leadership and meaningful client exposure
    • Fluent English required; additional European languages are a strong plus
