How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mandarin Speaking Immigration Caseworker

    Location: London

    Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

    Salary: Competitive, depending on experience


    The Role

    We are looking for an experienced Immigration Caseworker to join a busy and growing immigration team.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, providing practical immigration support to clients and preparing high-quality applications from initial instruction through to submission and outcome.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage immigration cases from initial enquiry through to completion.
    • Assess clients’ circumstances and identify the appropriate immigration route.
    • Prepare and submit UK immigration applications, including:

    Indefinite Leave to Remain under the 10-year Long Residence route;

    Skilled Worker visa applications;

    Sponsor-related and dependent visa applications;

    Spouse, Partner and Family visa applications;

    Visa extensions and settlement applications.

    • Review supporting documents and identify missing information or potential issues.
    • Draft application forms, cover letters, representations and supporting statements.
    • Conduct legal and immigration research when required.
    • Communicate with clients throughout the application process and provide regular case updates.
    • Liaise with the Home Office and other relevant organisations.
    • Maintain accurate case records and ensure deadlines are monitored and met.
    • Work in accordance with the firm’s internal procedures, regulatory requirements and professional standards.
    • Support senior colleagues with complex matters where necessary.


    Candidate Requirements

    • Previous experience working as an Immigration Caseworker, Immigration Paralegal or in a similar immigration-focused position.
    • Practical experience handling UK immigration applications.
    • Good working knowledge of at least some of the following areas:

    10-year Long Residence and Indefinite Leave to Remain;

    Skilled Worker visas;

    Spouse and Partner visas;

    Family and dependent applications;

    Extensions and settlement applications.

    • Ability to manage a caseload with appropriate supervision and meet application deadlines.
    • Strong written English with the ability to draft clear and accurate application documents.
    • Excellent attention to detail and document-management skills.
    • Confident client communication and case-management abilities.
    • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Mandarin language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.


    Desirable Experience

    • Experience assisting with immigration appeals, administrative reviews or complex refusal cases would be advantageous but is not essential.
    • Experience drafting appeal bundles, witness statements, grounds of appeal or legal representations would be beneficial.
    • Knowledge of sponsor licence applications and sponsor compliance would be an advantage.
    • Previous experience working within an IAA-regulated organisation or an SRA-regulated law firm would be preferred.


    Regulatory Requirement

    The successful candidate must be appropriately authorised to provide immigration advice or work on behalf of and under the supervision of a suitably regulated immigration adviser or legal professional.
