How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Personal Assistant to Private Principal

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly professional Personal Assistant to support a private British non-resident principal.

This is a full-time, long-term position for an exceptional individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and can provide seamless support across a broad range of personal, administrative and lifestyle matters.

The successful candidate will be based in the UK, ideally within easy reach of London, and will be required to travel in the UK to accompany the principal when visiting the UK and some travel abroad.

Working closely with the principal, an established UK PA and a small household team overseas, you will become an important part of a trusted and close-knit team. This position requires excellent judgement, complete discretion, exceptional organisation and the ability to anticipate what is needed.

    Key Responsibilities

    ● Providing comprehensive personal, administrative and lifestyle support to the principal.

    ● Managing diaries, personal and business appointments.

    ● Organising domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation, transfers, social engagements and detailed itineraries.

    ● Co-ordinating arrangements across different countries and time zones.

    ● Handling highly confidential and sensitive personal information with complete discretion.

    ● Preparing, monitoring and managing budgets, accounts, invoices and financial records.

    ● Acting as a trusted point of contact for the principal on matters in the UK and overseas.

    ● Working closely with the existing UK PA and the established overseas household team to ensure continuity and smooth communication.

    ● Managing multiple priorities calmly and efficiently, often with changing requirements.

    ● Being flexible and available when required, recognising that the nature of a private PA role can involve changing priorities and working outside conventional office hours.

    The Ideal Candidate

This is a role where personality, judgement and trust are just as important as experience.

    The successful candidate will:

    ● Have previous experience as a Private PA, Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant, ideally supporting a high-net-worth individual or private principal.

    ● Be highly organised, meticulous and naturally detail oriented.

    ● Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    ● Have experience with accounts, budgeting and financial administration.

    ● Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of people.

    ● Be emotionally intelligent, personable and collaborative.

    ● Be confident working as part of an established team while also being completely comfortable working independently.

    ● Be proactive, adaptable and calm under pressure, with the initiative and practical problem-solving skills to manage changing priorities effectively without instruction.

    ● Be flexible regarding working hours, travel and different time zones.

    ● Have a positive, can-do attitude and take pride in delivering a very high standard of support.

    ● Understand that the foundation of the role is trust, loyalty, discretion and mutual respect.

    ● Have a full, clean driving licence and own vehicle.

    ● Have the right to live and work in the UK

You will work closely with an existing UK Personal Assistant who has supported the principal for 14 years, as well as a small, established household team overseas.

The ability to integrate naturally into an existing team is therefore particularly important. We are looking for someone who is confident and capable without being territorial, who communicates well and who understands the importance of working collaboratively.

    What We Offer

An attractive renumeration package will be offered, commensurate with experience and the requirements of the role.

The appointment will be subject to a probationary period, with the specific terms discussed at offer stage.
