How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine a rewarding career with an exceptional quality of life, enjoying everything the region has to offer, from stunning coastlines and countryside to vibrant communities and excellent local amenities.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist seeking a meaningful and rewarding career alongside the flexibility to prioritise life outside of work.

Working just 3 days per week during term time, this role offers the freedom to balance professional fulfilment with family life, personal commitments, or other interests.

Whether you're returning to practice, managing caring responsibilities, or simply looking for a healthier work-life rhythm, this position is designed with flexibility in mind.

We are also open to the role being worked across 4 or 5 days per week, providing additional flexibility to help you achieve the work-life balance that suits you best.

    About the Role

Are you a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist ready to make a meaningful impact? Or a Speech and Language Therapist looking to take the next step in your career without compromising on balance?

In this role, you will support pupils with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, helping them develop essential communication skills to thrive. Your work will empower children to express themselves, build confidence, and engage with the world around them.

Each day begins with a collaborative team briefing, followed by a varied mix of:

    • Small group interventions
    • In-class support alongside teachers

    You’ll also have opportunities to:

    • Support and mentor less experienced therapists
    • Contribute to training and development of Team Members
    • Support pupils on placement

We are committed to your professional growth, with protected time for clinical development and ongoing training—so you can continue progressing while enjoying a balanced schedule.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

    • Delivering trauma-informed therapy to a manageable caseload of pupils with SEMH needs, Learning Disabilities, and Autism
    • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, teachers, and teaching assistants
    • Participating in team meetings and contributing to holistic care plans
    • Completing administrative tasks easily during quieter periods or from home during school holidays

    What You’ll Need

    • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
    • HCPC Registration and RCSLT membership
    • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
    • Full UK driving licence (occasional offsite meetings)

    Why This Role Stands Out

    • This role is designed to support your life as much as your career.
    • Part-time hours (3-5 days per week) – ideal for balancing family, study, or other commitments
    • Term-time only working – enjoy school holidays off
    • Protected development time to support your clinical growth

    What You’ll Receive in Return

    • 28 days annual leave (including public holidays) – pro-rata
    • Pension scheme (5% employee / 3% employer contribution)
    • Ongoing Learning & Development opportunities
    • Employee discounts (Blue Light Card & benefits platform)
    • Strong wellbeing support, including mental health resources and reflective practice sessions
    • Cycle to Work scheme
    • DBS cost covered
    • Medicash healthcare scheme & life assurance (after 12 months)

A Role That Fits Around You
