How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role: Knitwear Designer (3–10 years of experience)

    Employment Type: Full-Time

    Location: London

    Reporting To: PD & Design Manager


    We’re looking for a highly motivated and passionate Knitwear Designer with a strong trend-driven eye, commercial instinct and creative energy, who is excited to make an impact and grow with our fast-paced, ambitious business.

    At Spring, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your creative ideas to life while working with a dynamic team focused on delivering innovative, commercial and trend-relevant designs for our customers.


    About Us

    SPRING is a leading design and sourcing company operating across Turkey, Europe and Africa. We supply world-class apparel, footwear, cosmetics, home and general merchandise products to customers in the UK, Europe and the US. Our headquarters are based in Istanbul, with a design office in London.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop original, trend-led and commercially relevant designs that align with customer and brand aesthetics.

    • Research and select appropriate fabrics and materials, collaborating with suppliers to ensure quality.

    • Conduct market research, store visits and online research to stay up to date with emerging trends, silhouettes, fabrics, yarns, colours and accessories.

    • Regularly communicate with customers to understand their needs and align design direction and work plans accordingly.

    • Ensure accurate and timely sharing of design and pattern files for collection preparation.

    • Work closely with design teams, product developers and manufacturers to bring designs to life and ensure quality production.

    • Collaborate with relevant departments and manufacturers to ensure the correct and timely preparation of collections.

    • Evaluate customer and managerial feedback to guide design direction and make necessary adjustments.

    • Prepare detailed design presentations and maintain accurate records of design concepts and material specifications.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design or a related field.

    • Advanced proficiency in English, with strong communication skills.

    • 3–10 years of experience in textile/fashion design, ideally with a strong focus on knitwear.

    • Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, CAD or similar design tools.

    • Experience using AI design platforms and creative technologies, such as Midjourney, NewArc, Gemini, Adobe Firefly or similar tools, to support trend research, print development, visualisation and speed-to-market innovation.

    • Strong trend awareness and commercial understanding, with the ability to translate trends into relevant product ideas.

    • Excellent creativity, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    • A proactive, enthusiastic mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
