We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced children’s home Registered Manager or Deputy Manager looking for a Registered Manager role to join our team and work alongside our current Registered Manager who will be stepping down to a Deputy Manager role due to family commitments. We’re particularly looking for someone who shares our passion in providing a nurturing and supportive approach to the care of children, whilst promoting and maintaining our expectation of high standards and good practices.
Our children’s home is based in Bedford, Kempston and provides care and accommodation for up to 3 children with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties (EBD) aged 11-17.
Our home has been registered since December 2021 and we currently have 2 children placed with us.
The salary for this position is £50k upwards depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate. We may consider a higher expected salary depending on experience and track record.
Key Skill / Experience of Registered Manager

Managerial role within a Children's Residential setting: 2 years (Required)
*
Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Required)
*
Experience supporting children with EBD
*
Be able to demonstrate auditing, managing budgets and monitoring skills
*
Can evidence knowledge of Reg 44 and Reg 45 reporting.
*
Can demonstrate how to develop a staff team to ensure they have clear vision and goals.
*
Has a good working knowledge of Children’s homes regulations and the Social care common inspection framework
*
Has strong values and beliefs
*
Has integrity and good character
*
Can evidence experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
*
There will be full support from the Directors and RI.
*
You will be required to work Monday- Friday. 40 hours per week
There will be on-call duties Flexibility essential
Salary £50-£60k plus bonus
