How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Strategic Procurement Specialists – Global Transformation | 2 Opportunities

Procurement Heads are retained to support a global industrial technology and machinery business through an exciting period of international procurement and supply chain transformation.

As the organisation moves towards a more globally coordinated operating model, we are looking for two distinct Strategic Procurement Specialists to join this successful and exciting organisation.

These are genuine build-and-transform roles, not positions where you inherit a mature procurement structure and simply maintain the status quo. You’ll have the opportunity to shape global sourcing strategies, build strategic supplier partnerships and help create a more scalable, resilient and commercially effective global supply chain.

Both positions sit at the heart of a major global transformation, with the opportunity to influence how the organisation sources, manufactures, distributes and supports its products internationally.

You’ll suit this environment if you enjoy complexity, change, problem-solving and building something better, rather than stepping into a highly structured organisation where everything is already established.

Berkshire UK HQ – Presence required 1-2 days when not travelling

    Significant global travel (25–40%)

    £60,000–£70,000 base salary

    • Up to 7% matched pension
    • Private Medical Insurance
    • Group Life Assurance
    • Group Income Protection

    1. Strategic Procurement Specialist – Electronics, PCBA & Box Build

A specialist opportunity for someone with a strong background in electronics sourcing, PCBA, EMS or contract manufacturing.

You will lead the transformation from fragmented regional purchasing towards a globally coordinated electronics supply chain, developing strategies across electronic components, PCBAs, EMS providers and complete box-build solutions.

    Key areas include:

    • Developing and executing global electronics category strategies
    • Building and managing a global EMS/contract manufacturing network
    • Driving make-vs-buy and outsourcing decisions
    • Developing complete box-build sourcing solutions
    • Supplier selection, development and strategic negotiations
    • Reducing supplier complexity and improving resilience
    • Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Commercial teams
    • Supporting NPI, manufacturing transfers and design-for-supply-chain initiatives

Ideal background: Strategic/Commodity Procurement within electronics manufacturing, EMS, PCBA, contract manufacturing or industrial technology.

    2. Strategic Procurement Specialist – Global Products, Logistics & 3PL

A broader strategic procurement opportunity focused on third-party products, mechanical components, consumables, indirect categories, logistics and global distribution.

You will help design and implement the future global logistics and fulfilment model, while developing sourcing strategies and strategic supplier relationships across a diverse range of categories.

Our client is looking to expand their global footprint, opening logistics and warehouse sites in multiple countries. Your role will be to provide logistics solutions as well as centrally create agreements with suppliers for the regions to purchase from.

    Key areas include:

    • Global category and sourcing strategy
    • Third-party products, mechanical components, cables, consumables and MRO
    • Global supplier rationalisation and framework agreements
    • Developing the future-state global logistics network
    • Distribution, warehousing and fulfilment strategy
    • Selection and management of 2PL/3PL providers
    • International trade, tariffs, customs and landed-cost optimisation
    • Supplier negotiations, RFQs and commercial agreements
    • Supply chain risk, resilience and dual-sourcing
    • Working cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Engineering and Finance

Ideal background: Strategic Procurement, Category Management, Global Sourcing or Supply Chain Strategy, ideally with experience across international supply chains and logistics.
