Banking & Financial Services Regulatory Associate - London
A leading US law firm is seeking a talented Banking & Financial Services Regulatory Associate with approximately 6 PQE to join its highly regarded London practice.

The Role
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of UK and EU financial services regulatory issues, with a particular focus on the regulatory framework governing securitisation and structured finance transactions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on the application of the UK and EU Securitisation Regulations, including analysing whether proposed transactions fall within the scope of the securitisation r
- egime.Working closely with transaction teams to develop compliant securitisation structures and provide practical regulatory advice throughout the lifecycle of transac
- tions.Advising on risk retention, transparency and due diligence obligations applicable to issuers, sponsors, originators and inve
- stors.Preparing and negotiating risk retention documentation and associated regulatory compliance memo
- randa.Drafting and reviewing securitisation-related regulatory disclosures for offering circulars and other transaction docu
- ments.Monitoring regulatory developments affecting structured finance markets and providing commercially focused guidance to clients.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have:
- Around three years' PQE gained at a leading international or City
- law firm.Strong experience advising on UK and EU financial services re
- gulation.Demonstrable expertise in the regulatory aspects of securitisation and structured finance tran
- sactions.A solid understanding of the UK and EU Securitisation Regulations, including risk retention, transparency and disclosure requ
- irements.Excellent drafting skills, with experience preparing transaction-related regulatory docum
- entation.Strong technical ability, commercial judgement and the confidence to work directly with clients and multidisciplinary deal teams.
