How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Car Spray Painter

    Location

    Brigg

    Salary

    £17.00-£18.00 per hour

    Contract Type

    Temporary to Permanent

    Hours

    Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
    Some weekend work available depending on workload.

    About the Role

    We're currently recruiting for an experienced Car Spray Painter to join a friendly, family-run workshop based in Brigg. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where quality workmanship is valued, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position after an initial 3-month temporary period.

    All equipment and materials are provided on site, so you'll have everything you need to carry out your work to a high standard.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare vehicle panels and bodywork for painting, including sanding, masking and priming.
    Mix and match paint colours accurately.
    Apply paint using spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish.
    Carry out repairs and refinishing work on a range of vehicles.
    Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
    Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
    Work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

    Skills & Experience Required

    Previous experience as a Car Spray Painter or Vehicle Paint Technician.
    Ability to prepare and refinish vehicles to a high standard.
    Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
    Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
    Good knowledge of paint products, equipment and finishing techniques.
