How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Procurement Business Partners to join our growing team, managing and developing relationships with our expanding portfolio of public sector clients.

This is a highly client-facing role for someone who combines strong procurement expertise with excellent relationship management skills and is looking for more than “just another Procurement job.”

You’ll become a trusted procurement partner to your clients, helping them navigate complex procurement requirements, identify future opportunities and achieve the best possible commercial outcomes.

    JOB PURPOSE

As a Procurement Business Partner, you will manage a portfolio of approximately 15–20 client accounts, acting as a key point of contact and an extension of their procurement teams.

Around 80% of your role will be client-facing, focused on building relationships, understanding strategic priorities and developing forward procurement pipelines. The remaining 20% will involve operational procurement activity, including supporting more complex procurement projects and competitions.

You’ll be supported by our Operational Procurement and Strategic Sourcing teams, enabling you to focus on developing strong client relationships and delivering excellent commercial outcomes.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A commercially minded, customer-focused and ambitious procurement professional who is confident building relationships and credibility with clients and senior stakeholders.

You’ll be comfortable balancing strategic relationship management with hands-on procurement delivery, managing multiple client accounts and priorities while identifying opportunities to develop and grow existing relationships.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Manage and develop a portfolio of approximately 15–20 client accounts

    * Act as a trusted procurement partner and key point of contact for clients

    * Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and become an extension of their procurement teams

    * Understand clients’ strategic priorities, budgets, commercial objectives and future procurement requirements

    * Develop forward procurement pipelines and identify opportunities as early as possible

    * Provide advice on procurement approaches, routes to market and commercial strategy

    * Lead and support complex procurement projects, competitions and sourcing activity

    * Conduct regular client account reviews and procurement pipeline planning sessions

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues across Operational Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Legal and Finance

    * Manage multiple client relationships, procurement projects and priorities simultaneously

    * Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase clients’ use of Constellia’s services

    * Maintain strong knowledge of public sector procurement legislation, governance and best practice

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: ESSENTIAL

    * Strong experience within procurement, commercial management or category management

    * Experience working within or supporting public sector organisations

    * Good understanding of public sector procurement processes, governance and routes to market

    * Experience managing complex procurement projects, tenders or competitions

    * Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills

    * Confidence communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders

    * Experience managing multiple clients, projects or workstreams simultaneously

    * Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for account growth

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    * A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach

    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your workload effectively

Experience working with Central Government, Defence, Local Government, Housing Associations, NHS organisations, Blue Light Services or Higher Education would be particularly valuable.

This is a highly client-facing role, with regular face-to-face and virtual client meetings. You’re likely to work from home around 2–3 days per week, with the remainder of your time spent meeting clients depending on the needs and location of your portfolio.

Whilst a driving licence isn’t essential, travel across the UK is a key requirement of the role and you must be comfortable travelling regularly to build and maintain strong client relationships
