We are looking for an experienced Mobile Refuse Technician to join our clients team, covering Crawley and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking for a Monday-to-Friday daytime role, a company van and fuel provided.
The Role
As a Mobile Refuse Technician, you will travel to customer and site locations across Crawley and surrounding areas to carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault finding on refuse and waste-handling equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
* Attending customer sites throughout the local area
* Servicing and maintaining refuse and waste equipment
* Ensuring equipment is safe, reliable and operational
* Completing service reports and maintenance paperwork
* Providing a professional service to customers
* Working safely and in accordance with company procedures
About You
We are looking for someone with:
* Previous experience as a Refuse Technician, Waste Equipment Technician, HGV Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Vehicle Technician or similar
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
* Experience with hydraulics and/or electrical systems
* A full UK driving licence
* The ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload
* Good communication and customer service skills
