How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Services & Funds Paralegal to join a specialist legal team advising clients across the financial services and investment management sectors.

    The role will focus primarily on regulated funds, providing exposure to UK authorised funds and a range of regulatory and transactional matters. You will work closely with experienced lawyers, clients and regulators, gaining valuable experience within a highly regarded financial services practice.

    This role would suit a paralegal looking to develop their career within financial services, funds or regulatory law, with strong opportunities to build technical knowledge and progress towards qualification.

    Key Responsibilities

    Assisting with all aspects of UK authorised funds, including establishment, changes, mergers and closures.
    Supporting ongoing fund-related queries and client matters.
    Preparing FCA applications and notification forms.
    Reviewing and processing amendments to fund documentation, particularly distribution agreements.
    Preparing investor circulars and related documentation.
    Liaising with clients and the FCA.
    Supporting fee earners with their day-to-day legal work.
    Conducting legal and factual research where required.
    Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
    Assisting with wider administrative and legal tasks across the team.

    About You

    Strong academic background, ideally with good A Level results and a minimum 2:1 degree.
    At least one year of previous paralegal experience within a law firm, asset manager or relevant professional environment would be desirable.
    Strong interest in financial services, funds and regulatory law.
    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    Strong organisational and time management skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Proactive and self-motivated approach.
    Ability to work independently following appropriate instruction.
    Comfortable working collaboratively within a team.
    Strong commitment to producing high-quality legal work.
