How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will work closely with experienced lawyers and have regular direct contact with international clients and third parties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to develop a career in transactional law and gain significant exposure to complex, international transactions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Drafting transaction and completion documentation.
Assisting with the collation and review of KYC documentation.
    Coordinating transactional closing meetings.
Arranging the release of payments and supporting completion processes.
Assisting with financing and other transactional documents.
Liaising with external third parties, including company, ship and aircraft registries.
Preparing transactional bibles and coordinating the collection and distribution of original transaction documents.
Supporting multiple transaction files and ensuring deadlines are met.
Working closely with lawyers and other members of the wider team on transactional matters.
Communicating directly with clients and external stakeholders across different jurisdictions.
Providing additional support across the transactional team as required.

    About You

    Law degree or GDL qualification.
Strong academic background, ideally achieving a 2:1 or First.
Previous experience within a law firm would be beneficial.
Strong interest in transactional and commercial law.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confident dealing with clients and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong IT skills and confidence learning new systems.
Team player with a professional and proactive approach.
Cultural awareness and confidence working with international clients.
Flexible approach to working hours, particularly where transaction completions require support outside standard hours.

    What's on Offer

    £25,000 - £30,000 salary
Excellent exposure to international transactional work.
Training and support from experienced legal professionals.
Direct client contact and responsibility from an early stage.
