How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £140 - £190 per day
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
    Contract: Term Time Only

    Are you a passionate and dedicated qualified SEN Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

    We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join an Alternative Provision setting in Gloucester. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and creating a nurturing, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

    As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to learners who may have a range of additional needs, including social, emotional and behavioural needs. You will work closely with teaching assistants, support staff and the wider school team to ensure that every learner receives the individualised support they need to make progress academically, socially and emotionally.

    This role would suit a teacher who is patient, adaptable and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

    Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
    Provide high quality teaching and learning opportunities across the curriculum.
    Support learners with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional and behavioural needs.
    Create a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
    Build positive, trusting and respectful relationships with learners.
    Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet individual learning needs.
    Monitor and assess learner progress, providing appropriate feedback and support.
    Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to ensure learners receive consistent support.
    Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence and engagement.
    Contribute to personalised learning plans and targeted interventions where appropriate.
    Maintain accurate records of learner progress and development.
    Follow all school policies and procedures and contribute positively to the wider school community.

    We are looking for someone who is:

    A qualified and experienced teacher with a genuine passion for SEN education.
    Caring, patient, adaptable and resilient.
    Confident supporting learners with a range of additional needs.
    Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
    Experienced in adapting lessons and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
    Confident in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner.
    Able to build strong, positive relationships with learners.
    Committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
    Able to work effectively as part of a wider teaching and support team.
    Experienced within SEN, Alternative Provision or specialist settings is highly desirable.
    In possession of an Enhanced DBS check, or willing to apply for one.
