About the Role
As a KS1 teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 1, ensuring every pupil is supported, challenged and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging, creative and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Teaching across all areas of the KS1 curriculum, including English, mathematics, science and foundation subjects.
Developing pupils' early literacy, reading, writing, phonics and mathematical skills.
Creating a stimulating, inclusive and well-organised classroom environment.
Setting high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement.
Assessing, recording and monitoring pupil progress accurately.
Using assessment information to inform planning and adapt teaching.
Providing appropriate support, challenge and intervention for individual pupils.
Promoting independence, confidence, resilience and a love of learning.
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining positive routines.
Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
Working closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to support pupil development.
Attending staff meetings, parents' evenings, training sessions and school events.
Contributing to the wider life and development of the school.
Maintaining accurate records relating to planning, assessment and pupil progress.
Following safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
Participating in professional development, CPD and education and training opportunities.

About You
The successful candidate will be a committed KS1 teacher with a genuine passion for helping young children succeed.
You will ideally have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
Excellent classroom management skills.
High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
