How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A leading construction consultancy in Manchester is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its established team. The successful Project Manager will work across a varied portfolio of hotel, residential and commercial projects, supporting clients from early feasibility through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to broaden their sector experience and take on greater responsibility.

    The Project Manager will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors across a range of high-quality developments. The consultancy is looking for a confident Project Manager who can manage programmes, coordinate project teams and build strong client relationships. The incoming Project Manager will manage their own schemes while supporting senior colleagues on larger projects, providing the Project Manager with excellent project exposure.

    You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Project Manager's role

    The Project Manager will manage projects through the full construction lifecycle, from initial planning and design through procurement, construction and handover.

    Responsibilities will include managing programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, leading client meetings, monitoring progress and identifying risks.

    The successful Project Manager will ideally have:

    Previous Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
    Experience delivering hotel, residential or commercial projects
    Strong client-facing skills
    Experience managing projects through several construction stages
    A relevant construction degree
    Progress towards, or membership of, RICS, APM or CIOB
    Strong organisation and communication skills
