How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate - SEND & SEMH Support**

    **Recently graduated with a Psychology or Child Psychology degree?**

    Aspire People are currently recruiting **Psychology Graduates** who are interested in gaining practical experience working with children within primary schools.

    With schools now back, we have opportunities for graduates who want to put their understanding of **child development, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and psychology** into practice while gaining valuable school-based experience.

    This can be particularly relevant if you're considering a future career within **education, SEND, Educational Psychology, teaching, pastoral support or child development**.

    **The Role Could Include:**

    * Providing 1:1 and small-group support
    * Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
    * Helping children develop emotional regulation
    * Supporting classroom learning and engagement
    * Delivering or assisting with targeted interventions
    * Building positive relationships with pupils
    * Supporting behaviour and social development
    * Encouraging independence and confidence
    * Working alongside teachers and SENCOs
    * Monitoring and feeding back on pupil progress

    **We're Looking For:**

    * Degree in Psychology, Child Psychology or a related subject
    * Genuine interest in working with children
    * Strong interest in SEND and SEMH
    * Patient, empathetic and resilient approach
    * Excellent communication skills
    * Ability to build trusting relationships
    * Willingness to learn and develop within a school environment

    Previous experience working with **children, young people, tutoring, mentoring, youth work or SEND** would be advantageous but isn't essential for every opportunity.
