We are working with a leading contractor within the Social Housing, Property Services and Maintenance sector to recruit an experienced Head of Procurement & Supply Chain.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to take ownership of procurement and supply chain strategy, delivering cost savings, improving supplier performance and introducing smarter procurement processes across the business.
The role will take responsibility for procurement and supply chain activity across a broad range of categories, including: Building and construction materials, roofing materials, electrical and plumbing, materials, Kitchens and bathroom, Fire safety products, PPE and workwear, Plant and tool hire, Waste management and Specialist subcontractors and services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the procurement and supply chain strategy
Negotiate supplier pricing, rebates and framework agreements
Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities
Source, onboard and manage suppliers and subcontractors
Manage supplier performance, compliance and commercial risk
Undertake spend analysis and monitor market trends
Develop supplier reporting and performance dashboards
Introduce digital, automated and AI-enabled procurement solutions
Work closely with operational and commercial teams across the businessExperience Required
Minimum 5 years' Procurement Management experience
Construction, Social Housing or Property Maintenance background
Strong commercial and negotiation skills
Excellent supplier and stakeholder management experience
Full UK Driving Licence
CIPS / MCIPS desirable
Responsive Repairs, Planned Maintenance or Public Sector experience advantageousPackage
