How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a major site transformation programme for a an 18 month FTC.

    This is a hands-on project management role, delivering a range of construction, infrastructure and site modernisation projects within a live industrial environment. The programme includes demolition, civil engineering, structural works, steel fabrication and infrastructure upgrades, so this is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys managing complex projects and seeing them through to completion.

    The Role

    Reporting to the Head of Site Development, you will take responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering construction projects safely, on programme and within budget.

    You will work closely with internal teams, principal contractors, specialist subcontractors and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Lead the safe delivery of construction, infrastructure and site improvement projects
    Manage demolition, groundworks, civil engineering and new construction activities
    Coordinate construction and capital equipment installation programmes
    Manage contractors and subcontractors, including progress reviews and performance
    Monitor projects against programme, budget, quality and risk objectives
    Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and HSE requirements
    Work closely with Production, Engineering and Facilities teams
    Support NEC contract administration and commercial management
    Maintain effective project governance and delivery processes
    Build strong working relationships with contractors, consultants and regulatory bodiesAbout You

    You'll be an experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex industrial, infrastructure, construction or heavy engineering projects.

    You'll ideally have:

    Minimum 5 years' construction project management experience
    HND, Degree or equivalent experience in Construction, Engineering or a related discipline
    Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction site safety
    IOSH Construction certification or equivalent
    Experience managing contractors and high-risk construction activities
    Strong project planning, programming and stakeholder management skills
    Excellent communication and leadership skillsDesirable: NEC3/NEC4 and CEMAR experience, professional membership, and experience within manufacturing, industrial, marine, defence, infrastructure or other operational environments.
