About the Role
As a Sociology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils both in the classroom and through 1:1 support. You will help students feel confident, supported, and engaged throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Provide in-class and 1:1 support for pupils with ASD and other additional educational needs
Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development
Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning resources
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
Build trusting and supportive relationships with pupils
Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and positive learning environmentRequirements
A degree in Sociology or a related subject
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
SEN experience is beneficial
Experience providing 1:1 support is preferred
