How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Us

Fosterplus was founded in 1996 and has extensive experience as an independent fostering agency. Continuity is important to us, and we look to create it in everything we do - most critically, for the children and young people in our care.

Many children who enter our care have experienced a disrupted childhood, and our aim is to break this cycle and provide greater stability. We do this by carefully matching the right Foster Parents to the right children and making sure we're always on hand with support, guidance and help.

Our expertise helps ensure more successful placements - and that's exactly the sort of continuity we want. This commitment is reflected in our mission:

"provide positive and stable family environments for the children and young people placed with our foster parents and ensure that, with the support of our foster parents, they can thrive emotionally and academically."

To provide this continuity, we focus on building and maintaining strong connections.

    About the Role

We are looking for an organised and professional Panel Administrator to join our fostering services to provide maternity cover.

This role supports the smooth operation of fostering panels across Fosterplus and Clifford House Fostering. Working remotely, you will coordinate panel activity and manage complex administrative processes while supporting safeguarding standards and ensuring fostering decisions are underpinned by accurate and timely documentation.

We're looking for someone who can work effectively in a busy environment and brings exceptional attention to detail.

    Role Responsibilities

As the Panel Administrator, you will provide administrative support to our fostering panels, ensuring meetings are effectively organised and managed.

    Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating fostering panel meetings and schedules

Managing panel member attendance and ensuring panel quoracy

Preparing, checking and distributing panel papers

Producing timely and accurate minutes and records of panel discussions and recommendations

Maintaining confidential records and electronic databases

Liaising with social workers, Foster Parents, applicants, managers and independent panel members

Monitoring documentation to ensure compliance with required standards and timescales

Supporting the Panel Adviser and wider service with administrative and governance processes

    About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Highly organised with excellent administrative skills

Experienced in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

Confident in producing timely, professional minutes, reports and correspondence

Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams

Highly attentive to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality

    Experience We're Looking For

    Essential

Experience supporting panels, committees, boards or senior management teams

Experience organising meetings and managing agendas

Experience taking formal minutes and maintaining accurate records

    Experience handling confidential information

    Desirable

Experience within fostering, adoption, children's social care or safeguarding services

Understanding of fostering regulations, National Minimum Standards and panel processes

Experience working with professionals across multiple agencies

Relevant administration qualifications or professional minute-taking training

Fosterplus is an equal opportunities employer.
