How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Role: JetVac Operator / Drainage Operator

    HGV Class 2 | Drainage Services | Jetting | Patch Lining | UK-Wide
    Projects
    Location: Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire
    Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (DOE)
    Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
    Working Pattern:
    Working away Monday to Friday is a core part of the role, typically leaving on Monday morning and returning on Friday.
    Overtime & Additional Earnings:

    1.5x overtime rate Monday to Saturday
    2x overtime rate Sundays and Bank Holidays
    £20 per night working away allowance
    £15 bonus per patch after the first 5 patches completed
    Excellent overtime earning potential

    Are you an experienced JetVac Operator, Drainage Engineer, Drainage Operative or HGV Class 2 Driver looking for your next challenge?
    We are recruiting a skilled and motivated JetVac Operator / Drainage Operator to join a growing specialist drainage and rehabilitation team based in Droitwich.
    This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business delivering drainage maintenance, sewer rehabilitation and environmental services across the UK. Working alongside CCTV Survey Teams, Patch Lining Engineers and Drainage Specialists, you'll play a key role in maintaining, cleaning and repairing vital drainage infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    JetVac & Drainage Operations

    Operate JetVac equipment to carry out drainage cleaning and maintenance works
    Complete planned and reactive drainage investigations
    Carry out jetting, cleansing and desilting activities
    Support drainage repair and rehabilitation projects
    Assist with patch lining and drain lining works where required
    Work alongside CCTV Survey Engineers and other specialist drainage teams
    Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard Health, Safety & Compliance

    Follow RAMS, safe systems of work and company procedures
    Ensure compliance with waste management and environmental legislation
    Complete waste transfer and duty-of-care documentation
    Report hazards, incidents and near misses
    Promote a positive health and safety culture on site Customer Service & Communication

    Provide a professional service to customers and site contacts
    Communicate effectively with operational teams and management
    Keep customers informed of progress and site activities
    Represent the business professionally at all times Equipment, Vehicles & Documentation

    Complete daily equipment and vehicle inspections
    Maintain JetVac units and associated equipment
    Complete job sheets, work reports and compliance records accurately
    Ensure all tools, PPE and equipment are maintained and ready for use   
    Essential Criteria:

    Class 2 HGV Licence
    Previous experience within drainage operations
    Experience operating JetVac or similar jetting equipment
    Strong understanding of RAMS and safe working practices
    Good communication and customer service skills
    Full UK driving licence
    Right to work in the UK
    Willingness to work away from home every week
    Positive and flexible approach to overtime and travel   
    Desirable Criteria:

    Patch Lining experience
    UV Lining experience
    CCTV drainage survey experience
    Environmental services background
    Utilities experience
    Confined Space certification
    High Pressure Water Jetting qualifications
    Drainage repair and rehabilitation experience   
    Additional Information:

    Based from the Droitwich depot with UK-wide travel
    Regular overnight stays required Monday-Friday
    Accommodation and working away allowances provided
    Overtime forms a regular part of the role
