Team Leader

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join in Gravesend. The successful candidate will lead a production team, manage daily operations and ensure production targets, quality and food safety standards are consistently achieved.
The ideal candidate will have previous team leader or supervisory experience within a fast-paced production environment, with strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hands-on professional to support team performance and drive production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a production team within a fast-paced fresh-cut fruit manufacturing environment.
* Allocate duties and manage staff effectively to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
* Monitor production performance, labour costs and waste levels, taking action where required to improve efficiency.
* Ensure products meet customer specifications and the required quality and food safety standards.
* Lead by example on the production floor, maintaining high standards of hygiene, health & safety and housekeeping.
* Support, motivate and develop team members to improve performance, teamwork and engagement.
* Manage breaks, attendance and team cover to maintain smooth production throughout the shift.
* Complete production records, paperwork and relevant administrative duties accurately.
* Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and proactively to minimise downtime and production delays.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and other departments to ensure production plans are delivered.
* Follow company procedures, food safety requirements and health & safety policies at all times.
* Work effectively in a demanding, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to quality, productivity and customer requirements.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous team leader or supervisor experience.
* Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
* Good communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene.
* Reliable, organised and hardworking.
* Able to work to targets and deadlines.
* Flexible and able to work well under pressure.
