How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join an established engineering and manufacturing organisation.

    Following a period of significant change, the business is entering an important new phase, with investment in its operations and a varied portfolio of projects including shipbuilding, steel manufacturing, site capital investment and transformation programmes.

    This isn't a role where you will manage project plans from the sidelines. You will be responsible for bringing people together, keeping projects moving and keep projects moving, working across Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial and other functions.

    You will take projects from planning through to delivery, building project plans, managing milestones, monitoring progress and tackling issues before they become problems.

    You will be responsible for:

    Building and managing project plans covering scope, cost and schedule.
    Coordinating Integrated Project Teams across Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Commercial.
    Managing project risks, issues, changes and dependencies.
    Monitoring cost, schedule and performance and taking corrective action where required.
    Providing clear updates and reports to senior stakeholders.
    Ensuring projects are delivered safely on-time and to the required quality standards.What we are looking for:

    We are looking for someone with energy, drive and a practical approach to project delivery.
    You could already be a Project Manager, or be an experienced Assistant Project Manager, Project Controller or Project Engineer ready to take the next step.
    Ideally, you will have experience delivering projects within shipbuilding, marine, engineering, manufacturing, construction or another complex industrial environment, along with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and influence people who don't directly report to you.
    APM, PRINCE2, PMI or a similar Project Management qualification would be advantageous.
    Experience of MS Project, Primavera P6, Project Controls, EVM or NEC contracts would also be beneficial.
    You must be eligible for BPSS security clearance, with nationality and residency requirements potentially applying. The opportunity
